Faatin’s yasha (the big animal with a yellow bow – her name is Sunshine, by the way) was inspired by prehistoric mammals, most notably Macrauchenia. Members of the Macrauchenia genus lived in South America between the late Miocene and late Pleistocene, dying out when early humans moved into their territory. They were very cute herbivores.
